Concessions and catering are also available at The Glen, and restrooms are within a short walking distance at the Walker Arena Complex. The Glen borders the Yellow River, and offers glimpses of the Park's deer population. Bring your binoculars, the bird watching is spectacular!

The Steeplechase

The Irish began the fine tradition of steeplechase in the 15th century. Now your organization can share in that tradition at the Georgia International Horse Park's Steeplechase area. This open, grassy infield area is the site of many corporate outings, festivals, and bike events. The Steeplechase has been selected as the site of the exposition area for the Grundig/UCI Mountain Bike World Cup through the year 2000, and it can easily accommodate large groups for many types of functions.

Ample utilities are available in the infield area as well as in the parking area. There is parking for approximately 300 vehicles, and The Steeplechase is located just off Centennial Olympic Parkway across from Cherokee Run Golf Club.

Bald Rock Meadows

Located just off Centennial Olympic Parkway and Costley Mill Road is the Bald Rock Meadows complex, which served as the equestrian endurance trail during the three-day eventing portion of the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games. Complete with equestrian jumps that represent parts of Georgia history, Bald Rock Meadows offers a natural, serene setting for picnics, trail rides, family reunions and much more. Bald Rock Meadows is located just across from the Bald Rock Baptist Church, the oldest church in Rockdale County, which is currently under restoration to be used as an interfaith chapel. The scenery is incomparable, and the wildlife is abundant. Catch a glimpse of deer, stately cardinals and the heralds of spring -- bluebirds. Bald Rock Meadows is sure to please. Organized nature walks are encouraged.
