Location: The Georgia International Horse Park (GIHP), home o f the world's only Olympic Mountain Bike Course, is located in Conyers just 25 miles east of Downtown Atlanta. The GIHP is easily accessible from Atlanta's Hartsfield International Airport via the interstate highway system throughout the metro-area. The GIHP is located 4 miles off Interstate 20 on Centennial Olympic Parkway (Exit #42)

Hotel Info: The Grundig World Cup has negotiated preferred rates for area hotels. Please see attached sheet of hotels when making reservations. We do suggest you make these reservations early.

Campground: Riverside Estates is conveniently located to GIHP and provides full RV hookups, tent campsites and shower facilities. See attached for additional information.

Shuttle: Airport shuttle as well as transportation from hotels to GIHP is provided by Conyers Rockdale County Transit. Reservations are required and must be made early to insure prompt service. See attached for additional information. Van rental for teams is provided by Armada Van Rental (770-994-9929).

Race Course: The Grundig/UCI World Cup Course will util ize the 1996 Olympic Mountai n Bike Course. The course has many hills of varying difficulty, with various types of terrain. There is 2 km of granite rock riding that will bounce you off your saddle if you are not careful, with some artificial drop-offs that force a rider to ride smart. Several benched climbs allow the riders to carry more speed up the hills. The course was designed by Brian Stickel, John Bailey and David Wiens. In their design one of the goals was to keep the average speed high throughout the course. This course provides fast paced nonstop action for both the rider and the spectator.

Riverside Estates in Covington offers special Grundig/UCI Mountain Bike World Cup rates for campers. Riverside Estates is located approximately 6 miles from the GIHP.

Tent Sites are $6/night/tent

Shower passes are $1/person/day.

Full RV Hookups (Water, Electric, Sewer) are $15/day.

Riverside Estates is located at Exit #44(Alcovy Rd) off I-20East between Conyers and Covington on the interstate access road. Clear directional signage at exit. Reservations can be made by calling 770-787-3707.

The Grundig/UCI Mountain Bike World Cup at the Georgia International Horse Park is one of only eight such events across the globe, and the only event of its type in the Southeast.

The Georgia International Horse Park is located just 25 miles east of Atlanta just off Interstate 20. Take Exit #42 off I-20 and travel north on Georgia Highway 138 for four miles. Turn right on Centennial Olympic Parkway and travel approximately 2.5 miles to the parking area. Parking is located just half a mile from the expo and start-finish area, so a short walk will be necessary.

Alcohol is prohibited. Spectators may bring in one sealed bottle of water. Concessions and hydration stations will be available for spectators.

Tickets will be available for purchase at bike shops in and around Georgia.

Tickets will also be available at the gate each day.
