One of the gems of the Georgia International Horse Park is the
Grand Prix Stadium located in the heart of the equine center. The Grand
Prix Stadium is the site of many concerts, horse shows, new product demonstrations
and many more and varied types of large events.
With its amphitheater-style seating and the option of setting floor seating,
the Grand Prix Stadium offers excellent views of the stadium floor and staging,
and there is no bad seat in the house. Seating capacity for concerts is
17,000. For events that utilize the 143,175-square foot sand floor, seating
capacity is 8,000. The state-of-the-art flooring mixture or "footing"
coupled with the Grand Prix Stadium's exceptional sub-surface drainage system
allows for excellent drainage, making the Grand Prix Stadium ideal for activity
under virtually all weather conditions.
Utilities are abundant on the floor of the Grand Prix Stadium as well
as in the Service and Plaza Areas which encompass the middle and upper
levels of the stadium. Electricity, water and phone lines are available,
and the stadium is fully illuminated for evening events. In addition, the
entire Grand Prix Stadium is surrounded by eight foot, chain link fencing
with seven, 30-foot wide ticket gates located on the Plaza level as well
as several service entry gates -- making the Grand Prix Stadium ideal for
many types of ticketed events. |
