Equestrian Facilities THE STABLE COMPLEX The stable complex at the Georgia International Horse Park is one of the finest equestrian facilities in the nation. Spacious aisles, roomy stalls and highly pitched roofs guarantee the comfort of horses year round. The Stable Complex features five barns, each with 92 stalls, and each barn features vast electrical capabilities, ceiling fans and water outlets. Located within the Stable Complex are several washracks with multiple water outlets. The wash racks are equipped with both cold and hot water, and they are situated on concrete washing surfaces with plenty of drainage. Vending machines, payphones and restrooms complete with full shower facilities are also located in the Stable Complex. The center of the Stable Complex features a beautifully landscaped gathering circle that houses the famed marble sculpture "Cherokee Sun" by Georgia native William Sunderland. The gathering circle is also home to the commemorative marble pavers. AUXILARY ARENAS The Georgia International Horse Park offers excellent outdoor equestrian training facilities. These auxiliary arenas may be used for mid-sized equestrian competitions, schooling shows, or clinics. Fully enclosed with vinyl fencing and composed of a sand mixture to encourage drainage, these arenas may also be used for other types of events such as display areas for festivals, beach volleyball and recreational areas for corporate outings. Several of these arenas are also equipped with sound and/or lights. Located within the Walker Arena complex, the show office is complete with a dedicated phone line, a refrigerated storage unit and office furniture. The show office is climate controlled and convenient to the stabling complex. International Saddlery, an English tack shop located in the park's retail complex, is the exclusive provider of feed and bedding for equestrian events.
