The economic development of Conyers and Rockdale County has been entrusted to a private development corporation formed by local businesses, private individuals and local governments in May of 1997. This development corporation, Partners for Tomorrow, has a very definitive vision for the economic development of our community.

  • Retaining existing businesses and providing them with opportunities to expand. Partners for Tomorrow regularly surveys local businesses to determine their needs as well as any factors that might be restraining their growth.


  • Pursuing an aggressive program of infrastructure development to support and complement the economic development.
  • Addressing the area's current labor issues by collaborating with business, government and academia to facilitate an aggressive and responsive training and education program for the local labor pool.


  • Obtaining the ongoing cooperation of various community groups and private citizens and providing regular communication to keep the community informed of the progress of the plan.
